Södertörn District Court is looking for a Case Assistant
Södertörns tingsrätt is looking for someone who wants to combine their studies with a part-time job as a case assistant within the judiciary.
Are you interested in legal security? Do you want to contribute and develop in an important and eventful organization? Then the part-time job as a case assistant might be for you! The position is a temporary employment as needed. We will agree on working hours continuously, but an estimate is one working day a week.
The work involves
As a case assistant, you will work with simpler tasks in the court's case departments. This may involve tasks such as registering incoming documents from both the public and other authorities, communicating mail in cases and matters, and participating in preparations for hearings.
After a while, there may be an opportunity to try handling simpler decisions regarding divorce, working with the release of public documents, and answering incoming calls.
You will work in the case department that needs you the most on the current day. This means that you will work with different colleagues and gain insight into the entire district court's operations. You will work with judges, clerks, and primarily court case handlers.
We are looking for someone who
You who are applying have previous experience as a case assistant or court case handler at a district court, or you have completed your internship at the district court and have experience in parts of the work as a case assistant/court case handler.
As a person, you are both service-oriented and quality-conscious. You find it easy to collaborate with others and can prioritize tasks according to the needs of the organization. You also quickly absorb new knowledge and use your experience flexibly.
You have a good ability to express yourself in speech and writing, have good knowledge of the Office suite, and see computers, email, and phone as natural working tools.
Great importance will be placed on your personal qualities. Therefore, we apply competence-based recruitment and may use tests as part of the selection process.

About the workplace
Södertörns tingsrätt is one of the largest district courts in the country with around 250 employees. Our jurisdiction includes the municipalities of Botkyrka, Haninge, Huddinge, and Nynäshamn, as well as Söderort within Stockholm municipality. The district court has six adjudicating departments, one administrative department, and a staff. We work in modern premises in Flemingsberg, Huddinge, near the commuter train station.
